I have always loved Corvettes since I was about 8 years old. But, my finances have only allowed me to have one toy. So I have always owned a boat for my toy instead of a car. About 4 years ago I met my girlfriend. Her dad is a Corvette guy. 13 years ago he gave her the first Corvette he ever owned, a '74 Stingray, when he bought his second one, a '94 convertible.
So I "inherited" this "74 Stingray that is a show car! Came stock with the 454. It is a beautiful car, chromed everything underneath, lots of chrome & mods under the hood, all original black vinyl interior..... the list goes on. It sat virtually untouched for about 10 years in her garage before I met her. I have been slowly fixing a few minor things on her for the last couple years. In about 2 weeks she will be ready for prime time again! It has been drivable, but needed a new steering box, a few seals replaced & it had been lowered 2 inches which really made driving it a chore, so I am raising her back up to original ride height.
My future father in law is flying to Bowling Green to pick up his '07 convertible on June 5th! We will have a small caravan once he gets that one. He loves Yellow, so all of them are....Yellow!
Thanks for having me & I hope to get more involved in Corvette events in my area (Washington State).
