Hi there. Im not an owner yet, as im still paying off my daily driver. The C5 and C6 will be out of my price range, and I want a C4 anyhow. I'll be looking for a well heeled coupe, something I wont be affraid to drive a lot. Color will not a real consideraton. I am not good with a manual, and will probably get an auto. I like the first few years of the C4, and provided prices for 84 to around 86 dont jump off the deep end in a couple of years, I should be able to own a piece of American sports car glory. Ill be around, hopfully I can discern the the 4th gens look for trouble spots, and get me a great drivers car.

Welcome aboard the Corvette Forum.
Welcome to the Corvette Forum. The current issue of "CORVETTE" magazine analyses the C4 market, and recommends that you get as new as you can afford, and stay away from the 1984 with its new-model teething problems. I nice 86 sounds perfect for you.
Good luck finding the car that will make you a happy Corvette owner and driver.

Welcome and . I had a chance to buy an '84 for $3,000. (ran and everything, just needed a little interior TLC) but passed due to the "teething" problems.
