NY~~new C6 girl~~
Hey everyone! I just signed up for the site. Been looking through a bunch of vette sites and I found this one to be the most useful. I just crossed over to the chevy side. Went from imports to domestics, then from Ford to Chevy. My C6 is 2 weeks old now. Been to the track once with this car, going again friday. I wanted a vette for the past 8 months. I finally got one and everytime I've had off from work its rained. the only day it didn't rain was the day I went to the track and now its time for some mods!!! lol

thanks! I am hoping to run some better times tomorrow. I have a few things to work on still as far as launching the car and what mode to race in....I'm sure I can use the search engine and find out all I need to know!

Thank you so much everyone!
I love drag racing. It's basically my life, whether I participate or not, I'm always doing something that involves cars. Unfortunately the car I raced in the past couldn't get out of the 15s, but the vette is a whole diff ball game. Now I spin 2 wheels instead of one, I have torque, and I have power behind the wheels.
Unfortunately, I hear its going to rain here in the NY/NJ area tomorrow so I wont' be racing, but the second the weather clears I'll be back out there, even though last week was a disappointment
thanks again for the welcomes and responses

Welcome to the board, nice ride and a female into drag racing is sweet, we need more!! Don't worry about your times the first few times down the track, your times will improve with more seat time. Practice, practice, practice I'm guessing you had fwd before but rwd is totally different launching, stick drag radials, full exhaust, and intake can reduce your 1/4 mile almost a full second

Welcome to the board!! You'll like it here, everyone is friendly and helpful!
Very sweet looking, oh-and the car isn't bad either.
Enjoy the car, and be careful. Keep the shiny side up!
After a long 29 years of life, I was at Bowling Green, KY the other day (5/15) watching my first Corvette ever being built! Can't wait till she arrives.
Wish I could find a car enthusiast girl, they are rare!
PS: Consider removing that front plate.....

I live in NJ and have yet to bring my C6 to the track. I usually go to E-town with my slightly modified black WS6 or my 99 Z. What track do run at? E-Town is best on Wed. or Fri. night. I definitely want to run the C6 before it gets too hot out. Is yours a MN6 or Auto?

Nice to see a Lady on board, and with track experience to boot. My wife thinks I am mad but that is why she loves me, and my daughter asked me why I wanted 505 Horse Power when all she wants is a poney
(Do not worry she will get a whole horse for herself as soon as she gets her Federal Certificate, a sort of Horse jumping/dressage Gold badge, Sigh - and I am allergic to horses, or rather what they eat.)
I am planning to get back onto tracks after a two year absence (Honda Type R), but we get to do the Formula one tracks, ie Castellet, Magny Cours, and my favourite Spa Francochamp. Really am impatient.
Yep, you now have contact in Switzerland!
All the best and enjoy the fun..
