Default Hello, Again

Not sure what happened to my first thread text but I will try again.

I joined your wonderful site more for my pops than for me. He is 67 and just doesn't understand sitting in front of a computer Probably his being raised a midwestern farm boy.
My pops has wanted a corvette ever since I can remember. Instead of ever buying one he raised myself and 2 sisters. Then he and mom raised 2 of my younger sisters kids. But 2 weeks ago, when I went to pick up my new WS6, instead of me driving it off the lot, I gave the keys to pop and let him spend an hour driving it Well I guess it got his juices flowing and then mom gave him the ok so he and I went corvette shopping. And yesterday we were passing a lot in Raleigh and saw a deep purple vette shinning in the sun and stopped in. It is a 1995, automatic, only 96,000 miles and in wonderful condition. The interior is mint, apparently owned by a single man cause not any signs of wear on the passenger side of the car. It has both targa tops, no dings, only a couple of minor paint issues, very solid car, no rattles and runs very well. It has the slp 3 filter induction and chrome 5 spoke rims, maybe off of a c5?? not sure?? I will do my best to get him to be active here but early on it probably be me asking the newb questions ok i will stop rambling now. I look forward to talking with you all and learning all I can so me and pops can put a little more spunk in that LT1

Default Welcome to the Corvette Forum

You are the kind of son all Dads wish they had. You and he will enjoy sharing your love of excellent GM vehicles, and making them even better than when they left the factory.

Enjoy the C4 and teach your Dad to use the computer. But then you will never get to use it yourself, so be careful ! ! !

Congrats, both of you, on the new WS6 and the 95 Vette!! Looks like Dad will be driving around for quite a while with a big "corvette grin" on his face! Welcome to the Forum. They are great for learning more about vettes and you will meet a lot of new friends.
