C6 Front License Bracket

C6 Front License Bracket
I Live In Va Where We Are Req'd To Have A Front License. My Dealer Is Telling Me I Must Pop-rivet The Gm Bracket To My Car. Is This True? It Seems The Three Sticky Discs Attached To The Bracket Should Be Enough. Has Anyone In A Two License Plate State Have A Suggestion?

First, you do not have to pop rivet the bracket since the adhesives are adequate by themselves. Second, seach the forum on front plate brackets. There are numerous after market alternatives that offer better options than the factory bracket. My personal choice is the removable Top Flight bracket discussed in the thread below. I think it looks far better than the stick on kludge that is the factory part.
