New to this forum but have had my Vet for about eight years. I am a retired police officer/firefighter from So. Fla.. Moved to the wilds of SW Georgia in May of 2005 to get away from the traffic and weird people in Fl. (I know that there are a lot of good people in Florida, I just never got to meet many of them) I really like it here and the people are really great but there are not too many car nuts here. My Vet is a 1962 roadster, 427 big block, 5 speed, pro-street. I am probably kind of a red-headed stepchild having a very modified C1 but, I like what I have and probably wouldn't trade it for a new one (well, I'd be very tempted to go for a new ZO6). I really like the original body style and the sound of the big block coming through 4" sidepipes makes me smile.
My car is currently torn down to repair clutch problems caused by a cracked clutch fork. I am not an ace mechanic but I can't afford to pay someone else to do the work so I'm dumbing my way through this. This is probably the biggest reason for joining this group. To communicate with other Vet enthusiasts and learn from those with more knowledge. I appreciate being here and look forward to talking with ya'll in the future.
