2007 Vette Questions
Hi! Bought an '07 vette as a birthday present for reaching the half century mark.....somehow I was able to navigate this 6-speed manual off the dealership parking lot...without stalling it, too! <beam> It was a proud moment. Now, for the questions: (1) How many gallons does the gas tank hold? (I put 17.67 gallons in it after ignoring the low fuel indicator for 5 solid days, but I want to know for future reference what the tank size is). Okay...question (2): Has anyone had any issues with the interior door panels getting smudged easily or the side of the leather seat showing signs of wear? I've only had this car for 3 1/2 months but have some concerns regarding the interior. I own an '02 Firebird (5-speed manual) and the seats look like brand new... Any ideas on what I should do about the interior of the vette? Thank you!

The fuel tank capacity is 18.0 gals. I have also noticed that the interior door panels get smudged from my elbow or hand resting on them. A good amount of Meguiars leather conditioner brings them back to showroom quality. No problem with the seats, however.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the 07 Corvette. 18 Gallons is the number for the fuel tank. I clean my door panels with Zaino Leather Cleaner about once a month.

It was pointed out on the forum, not long ago, that you absolutely do not want to run out of gas in this car. Something about the saddlebag fuel tanks and the fuel pump, I believe. Others here may be better able to explain. Enjoy the Corvette and save the
