Hi, Dave here from Vancouver Island, Canada, and recently (1 week), a corvette owner. My baby and I flew to Vegas with one-way tickets on the 3rd of Sept. with the intention of getting married and driving home in something cool. On the 7th we rented a 2006 yellow vette ragtop and got married at the drive-thru. The next day I located a yellow 91 convertible for sale for a good price. It needs some attention to the electrical system, and the carpet and seat on the drivers side shows some wear, but it provided us with a sweet ride for the 1300 mile trip home. The fuel pump died in Tacoma (almost home, rats!) but the car made it to a dealership under its own power. We threw a grand at it and motored the rest of the way home. I'm a longtime drag racer and Mopar faithful, owning both a 71 cuda streetcar that has run a best of 11.86 at 124, and a 70 cuda under construction that will run in S/G. My wife has a 70 and 71 Buicks, the 71 a ragtop. We also have a bitchin' waycool 60 Pontiac Ventura bubbletop with flames we drove home from an earlier trip to San Francisco. Always loved vettes though (doesn't everybody?) and now that I own one I hope the folks on this site can stand my mopar ribbings and help me fix the little details to make our vette perfect again.
