Hello All,
I’m a first time Corvette owner in Western Canada. The Corvette was never my “Dream” car but I’ve always been a fan of performance. The performance I was looking for before buying my Corvette was the kind that would leave a stain in my shorts. The first consideration was an 800 hp Cobra replica. Unfortunately she who must be obeyed said that she hated the car, in fact she would prefer (arrrg) a Viper. Well, since I was sure a Viper could produce the required stains we went off to look at one. After having a closer look at one we both decided we didn’t like Vipers. The next stop was to look at a Corvette, specifically a Z06. Now 505 hp would surely quicken the pulse but it just wasn’t stain making material. 800 hp would certainly do the job and as chance would have it a shop in Decatur, Indiana called Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, Inc. had a package that would provide it. Flash forward 14 months and I got my stain-maker in my hands, a twin turbo Z06 C6 Corvette.
I ‘ve got a few other toys that might interest some of you. I got a Buick GNX that I’m current building a 700 hp stroker for and a 450 hp WS6 TransAm that is my daily driver.
After tweaking cars for 30 years I’ve picked up a few tricks that I hope to share with this group as the occasions arise.
