Hi I just bought a 1978 coupe. It my first. It is a 2 owner car and spent the last 23 inside so it's great shape but will new engine work soon. Any thoughts crate or rebuild with preformance parts. Thanks
Aloha and welcome to the CF and congratulations on your C3, on the engine, it will probably be cheaper and more cost effective to go with a crate motor, 383ci that would give some real power. Enjoy and don't forget the pictures.
Once Shark bitten, always smitten! Congrats!
I have a 79 L-82 - orig. owner - that I was about to drop an LS2 crate into - blocks are the same and you go from about 225 hp to 400 stock. But then I drove a 06 ZO and couldn't resist, so now the 79 is on hold, but I think the LS2 is a good fit for the '78
