My name is Ryan King, I am currently in Baghdad, Iraq. I don't own a vette..yet that is. I would kill or trade in my turd in a heart beat for a C6 ZO6. But the army doesn't pay me enough to have one, but someday I will. I am here to enjoy and learn about these cars..but try not to flame me much, I do drive a Mustang and it's fairly quick. Well take it easy everyone and you all have some beautiful cars. I might just have to suck it up and get a EB 2003 ZO6.
First thankyou for serving and protecting our country. Second you are most welcome and you will get that Vette of your dreams, just hang in there and most of all stay safe.
One day I will have one..thing is I have done a lot of work to my "mustang" and I am having a hard time letting go..lol. Once I pay the "mustang" off I will get one. By that time the $70k+ C6's will be affordable.
Yea, I wanted a vette during my career in the Army, had some nice Chevelle's, but not the vette of my dreams.., family and Army were priority at the time... My LT had a nice new vette when I was @ Fort Campbell, and sure wanted one like it even more. At that time it was a brand new 1984 Red Vette...When I got out of the Army after 20+ years I bought a similiar vette, 1984 Red and made it look awsome, then later sold it for my current FRC...Be safe and your Vette will happen...
Welcome aboard Ryan and thanks for your service. I was there for the first Gulf War and retired Army in 1996. Both my first Corvette in 2004. Stay Safe!

Thanks man. Who were you with and what was your MOS?
A big welcome Ryan. From a submarine veteran, thanks for serving. All you guys over there are heroes in my book, so neglect the liberal press stories. You came to the right place to learn about Vettes. This forum is full of great guys (and gals) who are affectionate about their vehicles and are most willing to share information and help almost any request. Enjoy!!!

welcome aboard Ryan. don't worry i won't tell the fellas over at MPH about you venturing over to the dark side.
Thanks bro. I think deep down inside I have always been a chevy guy..especially a vette guy. I just can't bring myself to ditch the cobra...all that money I spent, the blood, the sweat, the tears. Well see though..15 months is a long time for me to change my mind.
Welcome! Nothing wrong with a cobra! But, your right, the vette is better in many many ways! Save that tax free money and if you play your cards right, you should have a good amount for a down payment!
