Merry Christmas to ME, and all the rest of you out there.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone out there.
I say Merry Christmas to ME because I just picked up my first Corvette.
First off I would like to thank every one of you out there. I spent a lot of time reading these forums before making my purchase and it had a lot of influence on my buying decision. These forums have been very valuable to me. I have posted some pictures in the gallery and also my Avatar is of my new car.
So, you are all wondering what I got? I can say that I have learned from the forums that many of you will love what I got and others may not. I welcome all comments good and not so good. I am planning on some minor mods in the coming months but need to get through the Christmas season first. So here are the spec's.
07 Convertible
3LT, Velocity Yellow, Black Top, Automatic Trans, DVD Nav, 2 Tone Seats (Ebony/Grey), Chrome Wheels, Onstar.
It was these forums that convinced me to go for a fully loaded car. I have wanted a Corvette for many years but was never in a position to buy one until now. I spent the last few months studying and looking for a car. At first I was convinced I would get an 06 or 07 used but found it worth getting a new one as it seems low mileage cars seem to go for about the same price as a new one at the deal I got.
I saw another Vette on the road yesterday and it was my first chance to wave at a fellow Vette owner while driving mine. Man did it feel good. This car in one day has made me feel younger and added excitement to my life. I think I have found the secret to stopping the aging process and its called a "Chevy Corvette". I let my dad drive it yesterday. He had previously made the comment that its a great looking car but he's a bit old for it. Well, he changed his tune very fast. His first comment was "F(&&%K!!!!" and then "Boy, I could get used to his real fast". See, the car does make you younger.
All that aside I'm so impressed with everything about the car, the look, the feel, the power and the way it drives on the road. It's incredibly awesome to say the least and meets or beats any of my expectations.
So anyway, I feel priviledged to be amongst you all and look forward to conversing in these forums in the future. I value everyone's opinions and again, Thank You to everyone here that has helped make my decision one that I am very happy with.
Sincerely,
Robert...........

Aloha and welcome to the CF, glad we could help with your decision and congratulations on that great looking Vette. You have found what the rest of us have found that Vettes are the fountain of youth. Glad to see you doing the wave, we really need to save it.

welcome aboard
The first thing I thought when I read that was he probably got the back end to break lose and go sideways? I could be wrong but I remember the first time i got the rear end to go sideways unintentionally I dropped a few F bombs.

Welcome mat!
First of all Merry X-Mas to you and your family and to all others on CF. We are family too...a Corvette family with many members.
Second, you did pick a winner for sure. Full option on a VY Vert. You will feel like a King each and every time you drive that car and others will just have to envy you and wait their turn.
WTG guy!
