Getting Close
Well, I decided to join the Corvette forum (I am a member of a forum for my car and love it, lots of info). In a little over a year, in Feb '09, I will buy my first Corvette. I have grown up around cars with my great grandfather being a mechanic almost until he passed away and my grandfather showing me around cars after that. I always told myself I would buy a Corvette when I could. I am waiting until next year for two reasons. I will have the money saved up to pay cash for a Vette and it will give me time to look really long and hard and get to know as much as I can. The other reason is I will be 23 then and the insurance will be a little cheaper (after speaking with my agent, it was cheaper than I thought now). At the time I will be looking for a C5, and 03 or 04, Convertible, 6spd manual. I can't wait for the day I get to drive one home. I wanted to make sure I said HI!!!

Thank you all for the welcomes.
HawaiiC6, people are always amazed that I am so young, but everything I have I own, is paid for, and I had no help from anyone (financially that is). It is just the kind of person I am, and I would never admit it, but people around me say I should be proud of myself, and I am now to the point of where I will say that yes, I am more mature, and better for it, and I am so much farther ahead than most people my age. I just wish more people my age weren't so flippen immature.
I am starting the hunt now, to find out what options were available in the years I will most likely be able to afford so I know what I want. When i get closer to buying I will be asking for tips and suggestions when I go to actually buy it. I am thinking right now I would like to spend about 25,000 or under for a C5 convertible. We shall see how the stock market goes, but hoping to finance less than half. I will need to know what to look for!!! Thank you guys again for the welcome!
