Anyone else having this problem? I live in a gated community that has been around a long time. I have a 2008 vett coupe with the factory Nav. When I put my home address, the system takes me past 2 entrance gates and to a dead end "outside" of my community. I have used "Honda's" nav system in previous vehicles over the past 5 years and never had this problem. I think the "maps" are unreliable and the programs too sophisticated so a lot of the time you get junk output. So far, the dealer hasn't been much help and the factory is giving a lot of lip service.
As to your question, first, FYI, you should post questions in the C6 General section. This Intros section is just for new members to introduce themselves.
Now, yes your nav issue is somewhat (kind of, sort of, ) common. It happens with after market navs like the Garmins too. It is just a matter of out of date and/or inaccurate maps. IMO the GM maps "seem" to be a little worse than most.

Welcome to the forum! I have similiar problems with the nav system in both my Vette and my Wife's Cadillac. However, my portable Garmin GPS is very accurate and never seems to have a problem finding anything. I don't know why GM can't seem to get it right. Whoever they purchase the software from needs to step it up a little. If Garmin can get it right, why can't the general?
