Greetings
I used to post on various forums when I lived in So-Cal, but recently have come back because I am in quite a pickle.
I live in Oregon (Chehalem Mountain area near Portland), and went to go start my 2002 C5 Z06 and voila, steering locked. After futzing with it for 15 minutes, I got it to briefly unlock, and immediately re-lock. Now nothing I've done will fix it.
Does my extended warranty cover this? Does the recall I've heard about this cover this?
I am going to have AAA tow it to a Chevy dealer in the Portland Metro area - any recommendations?
Right now I am just looking for whichever Chevy dealer sells the most 'vettes and hoping for the best. This sucks in a bad way.
Right or wrong, my wife is now beside herself in fear that unless they remove the locking mechanism completely, it will decide to lock when I am "performance testing"
and introduce me to a tree in a bad way.Spring is an insanely busy time for me. My poor car has sat for a week while I try to find time to figure this out.
As soon as I have a plan, I'm calling AAA. I appreciate any help I can get.

Also, although it isn't required, it would be nice if you would fill in your profile so folks will know a little about you and your car. It helps when answering your questions in the future and it's just friendlier. Thanks for your consideration.
