New to this forum.
I dreamed of owning a Corvette since I was 12 years old. I bought my first one, brand new in 1981. I drove it for 18 years. Getting older, I sold it, and bought a 1998 S 320 Mercedes. I could not stop turning my head every time a Vette went by; seeing how miserable I was, my wife suggested I buy a red 450 SL 1988 Mercedes Roadster; I did. A beautiful machine. However, I was still miserable, and finally bought a new Metallic Red 2004 Convertible Corvette. I have been happy again since 2004.
I just purchased a motorhome, and would like to ask experienced drivers what is the best way to bring the Vette along while camping ?
You have a wonderful forum. Thanks.
Welcome aboard. Sorry no experience with towing here. You may want to ask in the C5 General Section as there are many more people that will see your post there and hopefully someone will have an answer.
Welcome! I would strongly consider a fully enclosed trailer for your car. Towing can pack on miles for the towed vehicle, and can cause paint chips, ect. I don't tow vehicles behind a motorhome, but I have family members and friends that do.
These types of trailers would better protect your precious cargo, and you can always paint it to match your motorhome. I've seen lots of matching trailers and they look super sharp!
I appreciate the welcome. And Kelly's suggestion; I will follow that link.
Have been looking at enclosed and flatbed trailers. Just can't make up my mind. I will continue to get opinions for a while.
Experienced RVers tend to discourage trailers as several campgrounds don't allow or have room for them.
