Hello!
Hey everyone! I'm happy to be part of the forum and part of the Corvette family in general.
I bought my '99 Coupe (the gold/silver/gray/pewter color that looks fantastic, but no one can ever figure out what color it really is) about 6 months ago. 23k original miles (I've since added 11k), manual, and absolutely beautiful. Oh, and let's just say that the price was right (my friend just bought a brand new Tiburon SE, and was pretty upset when he found out that he paid way more for a Hyundai than I did for a 'Vette
).
She's also my only car, so I don't just take joy rides; it's my daily driver, as well. Which works out fine, since I drive very conservatively most of the time, and can manage over 19 mpg in the city (over 20 if I can keep it in 6th gear and avoid stop-and-go traffic).
I absolutely love my 'Vette, and I don't think I can go without one now. I'm buying some new Eagle F1s (she's still on the original tires), and I might get some extra work done (she's completely stock).
Still, my dream car is a black '04 Z06. Don't get me wrong, I like the C6 models (and you can't complain about the engines), but for me, the C5 is just stunning.
