Hi Folks,
Been over on the Ford Mustang side for about 7 years then decided to take alook at a new Shelby, but happen to see an 07 C6 in Lemans Blue and fell in love the Corvette all over again. Always loved them, but never thought I would own one.
Any how, last Sat I purchased a new 2008 C6 6.2 Velocity Yellow with a 6 sp manual tranny. The Autoway Chevy dealer has a Mustang Sales Mgr so he gave me more than I asked for my 05 LLG Mustang GT, and I was able to purchase my Vette $2K under MSRP.
The perfromance is outstanding on the 6.2 motor. I had heard that the mileage was good for that size motor but I found just how good this week. Had to make a trip from Lakeland over to St. Pete and had the windows down and did the posted speed limit 70 - 65 - 55 - 65. When I got there the average mpg showed 30.6 mpg. WOW
On the way back did 70 -75 and mileage droped down to 29.2 Can't believe how well the car handles and good the seats mold to you.
Anyway, glad to be on board and looking forward to learning alot from evreyone on the board.
Btw - I've got some Corsa "Sport" mufflers on order and will get them installed Sat. Thats the only complaint I have is the mufflers are too quite.
