I would like to introduce myself, my name is Mark. I was born and raised in San Jose, Ca. where I currently reside with my wife Darci and 2 sons Kyle (21) and Sean (18). I also qualify for AARP 
(lol), I'm 58 and was lucky enough to be able to retire at 55. I'm a daytrader now that I'm retired although this year has been 
really slow. My wife is still working and she does Patent Prosecution domestic and foreign. My son Kyle is a part time checker at our local Safeway and a full time college student and Sean is working as a server at the Outback Steakhouse although this semester he dropped out of college.
I've been into cars since my first car, a 1965 Mustang GT Hi Performance, that I modified to look like a Shelby GT 350. Needless to say, I was hooked from then on.
Being 58, I've had many cars although I'm still looking for my first Corvette. Looking for a C6 with auto, lt3, nav, Z51, either in black, blue, or silver with ebony interior. FYI, I would like to trade (or FS) my 06 Infiniti G35 coupe with less than 8,300 miles and cash for a C6, this would be great but not necessary. I will post this in the appropriate section.
I wanted to introduce myself and thanks for reading my post. BTW, love your forum and I've been reading and learning alot about Corvette's here. I hope to have one soon and being the happy owner of my dream Corvette.

Thanks everyone for making me feel welcome it's much appreciated. A little update that I wanted your opinion on. I found an 05 although I've been looking for an 06 or newer because of the included paddle shifters also, if I'm not mistaken in 06 the automatic's are 5 speed and the 05 are 4? Also, I've read that since the 05 was the first year of the C6 that they had more problems and those were taken care of as the years went on? I would appreciate any thoughts. I've read here that the paddle shifters were hard to use while turning so those of you with paddle shifters would you chime in and give me your thoughts.

Welcome aboard, Mark. Good hunting in your search for a Corvette. I have an 05 Coupe with 6 speed manual. The 05 auto is a 4 speed and the 06 and newer autos are 6 speed with paddles.
