SUP from MD!!!

What's up everybody from Maryland? New to Corvette Forum. I own a black 79 L48 Coupe with red leather and 64K original miles. My Vette is in pretty good shape. I have been doing a partial restoration on her for about two years now. Just finished with doing a top-end rebuild. Right now I'm working on the drive shaft and u-joints. "Good Times". So anywho, I hope to learn a few more things and provide some experiences if I can...

Thanks everybody. I had a very long day today removing the old rear transmission output shaft seal. It was installed with RTV which made it very difficult to remove. I will install the new one tomorrow and looking for some advice. Petroleum jelly is suggested on both the outside and inside diameter of the seal. I suppose RTV would be an option to ensure that it does not leak but it would make for a difficult removal as I just went through. Any thoughts?
