I have been a car guy most of my life. I guess you could say it started when I was 10 years old and went to the General Motors Motorama in Boston with my best friend Bobby. The show was the coolest thing we had ever seen.
I have always wanted a new Corvette but could never afford one until now, however, I was able to purchased a 1969 L68 coupe in the fall of 1993. The price was right but it did need a lot of TLC. It took me seven years to get it to where it is now.
We all go through life dreaming or wishing about something and many of us never fullfil their dreams, well for me that dream has come true.
On June 6th I picked up a 2008 Atomic Orange coupe R8C Museum Delivery. What an experience, one that I will never forget. We drove the car back to California.
The Museum web-cams are great. My wife couldn't travel with me but she was on line early the morning, 5:45 AM PT, as I picked it up and actually saw me as I was seeing the car for the first time. I only wish she could have been there. Maybe next time?
I look forward to chatting and meeting other Corvette enthusiast.
