C4 Newcomer in LA
Hi all -
Well, I've finally done it, I've bought a C4 Corvette.
I'm figuring it'll either be the best or worst buy I'll make this year, or next.
It's a 1984 Coupe. I didn't want a 1984 cos I've heard so many bad things about the Crossfire, but this one was by a long way the best car I saw. I paid $5400 for it which might be a bit high but the engine and tranny had rebuild work done, and it's had retrimmed seats.
It's also had a respray some time in the last few years which looks great but I suspect was not the best job as there are hints of overspray here and there......I can sort that out but don't know how long the paint will last.
Anyway, here we are, me and the car. Immediately I want to run it and see how reliale (!) it's gonna be.
Then: see about ditching the Crossfire, and whether I can get a gauge pack to replace the digital one. It works, but I don't like it much.....
Looking forward to some nice driving! If anyone's interested I can post pics.
