Hey guys! I'm a regular on the camaro forums and this summer i took on a 73 vette w/ a 454 project. The car was/is my dad's but he doesn't want anything to do w/ it so i'm taking it over! lol He is believed to be the 2nd owner and bought it in 81 w/ 56k miles on it. It now sits in the garage w/ 64k! What a shame! It has zero options! I'm not sure what all they came w/ standard but this thing only has t-tops.
Anyways a buddy of mine and I pulled the motor to give it a total overhaul and a new clutch. In the process it's gettin new headers, electric water pump/fan/fuel pump(cuz i'm gonna drive this thing!) and carb rebuild(if I can find someone to do it for me). It's not going to be a crazy build, just a mild cam w/ the heads worked over a bit and bumping the compression to 9.6:1 or so. I'm taking lots of picts along the way so i'll host them up sometime when she gets near completion. The camera is at the shop so he can take picts when the engine is being built.
The downside is that my friend and I can only work on it on thurs. So it's a slow but sure process
