Hello. I am totally new to this board, and wish I had joined earlier. My 1960 Corvette was stolen from my mechanic Thursday July 24 around 7.00 am. I also happen to be in Seattle on tour (I am a working musician), and the car was stolen in Glendale, CA, where i live. As a result, I don't even have access to pictures of my car until Monday. I assume most people on this board will know what it looks like.
Any advice on this would be very welcome - thank you! Thanks for your help! I'm reachable at 818-429-1024 or at strangtree@earthlink.net.
The car is stock white, old-style black CA license number JGD 158, and is a hard-top convertible, automatic transmission. The interior is mixture of light blue and turquoise as it was in the process of being refurbished.
Sorry to hear this - you may want to post in other higher visibility areas like OT (off topic) and of course in the C1 section. Good luck - I hope you get your car back!!!
That really sucks, hope you had insurance to cover theft. Nothing is safe anymore, you have to keep everything locked up. Not that long ago we used to leave the house open and keys in the car. Now everything is locked down tight. Hope you get lucky and get it back.
Welcome to the board! I recently joined myself and there is a lot of useful info on these boards as well as some very nice people!
I don't understand why people can't keep their paws off of things that do not belong to them! Makes you wish we had some of the laws they have in some ME countries... you steal you get your hands cut off!
my brother bought a 1960 vette from calif , but it doesnt have vin and title. does anyone know where to find a title and vin for a 1960 vette that is legit ?
thanks
DKLeather put 2 and 2 together and wondered if it was the same car. Someone asked hobbes442 to get back to us with a picture from his brother of the car, but so far nothing has appeared.
Continued good luck in finding your car. I would still recommend looking in the area where it was stolen, sometimes they don't go far away from where they are stolen.
