Hi all! My name is Paul and I live in Scotch Plains NJ. In 1988 I bought a 1969 convertible Corvette with an NOM and a whole lot of problems. I was pretty good with mechanical stuff, and had done some restoration work on primarily VW Beetles, so I knew which end of the wrench to grab and after a few years, I had a car that looked great and ran well. My girlfriend (who became my wife while I owned the car) and I had a GREAT time with that car! In 1996 I was finishing gradual school (read, had basically no money), when my wife picked that time to get pregnant. It quickly became obvious that we really wanted to move out of our crappy 1 bdrm apt and buy a house, but as stated before, I had very little money. You have all read this tale before, and the end is no surprise this time; I sold my toy car.
So, for the last 12 years, I have been completly 'vetteless, but I intend to do something about that. I'll put up a WTB post in the C3 section with more details on what I am thinking of acquiring. This looks like a great place, I look forward to learning more about it in the coming days!
