My last Corvette was a beautiful red 1967 convertible with 327 350HP 4 speed and black leather. Sold for 15K and thought I had made a "killin".
I'm a retired auto repair business owner, retired custom ski boat manufacturer and a part time commercial pilot who flies fire patrol in fire season in NO CA.
The Corvette fever has has seemed to infect me again and I made an offer on a 66 convertible BB that has sat for 15 years. The car owner is a widow and does not know much about the car except her husband drove it a lot from CA to OK for work. Speedo shows 30K but I'm sure it is 130K. The car has a 427 425 hp per her nephew but he said it came with a 390 hp. The casting # on block is 3999289 with no stamped #'s on the fromt pad. The car has few options and is in poor condition but if she takes my offer I plan to make it driveable and then decide what I want to do.
I like nice equipment and would probably think of a frame off resto but have no idea if I'm up to that task either physically or $$.
My research when looking at this car brought me to your great forum and I look forward to reading more.
I have found that I can get many Q's answered by just looking at what others have asked.
Thanks for letting me join.
