Hello from Georgia!!!
Hello all!!! I would say I am new to the Vette's but I would be lying
.
I had a 1978 Indy Pace Car #395 until March of 2004. I had to sell her after being out of work due to an accident. But anyways,, I am doing better and just sold my 1968 Mustang J-Code 302 Fastback to someone in the Czech republic.
So with that being said I am paying off all the debt,, going to save a few bucks and then finally get what I have been wanting all along.
A C5 Z06!!!!
So anyways hoping to learn more about the cars and when the time is right find my new keeper.
Just want to say hey and I am likin' the site!!

I got a Vette!!!
Well I paid off some things like I was planning originally and decided to help the economy along. I had been tossing and turning on which car to get.I actually started leaning towards the 2010 Shelby and then found a cool Vapor Silver 2009 Shelby. Decided that I could swing the payments and wanted togo ahead and get the car since you only live once right? Plus I have a 7 year old son and I figured I would sacrifice and get the Shelby.
I had also looked at the new 370Z (seats are horrible) and decided against it.
But I decided Sunday to go over to a Chevy dealer and drive the 2009 Vette just to make sure before I bought the Shelby. I was really surprised at the ride and how quick it was.
So now I was torn, but the Shelby had the backseat the wife wanted. Plus she was going to be helping out in paying for it too. So it was going to be the Shelby. That was until Monday when I called the insurance company and they told me it was uninsurable with them. I called Geico and they said the same thing.
Finally found a company (never heard of them) who would insure it for $360 a month.
So when I called my insurance company back and asked about the Vette they told me $50 a month more for the Vette. Did some reading and the base LS3 is quicker and handles better than the Shelby. Plus it doesn't have the gas guzzler tax or the gas guzzler comsumption.
So there was my in for the Vette again. I called around and decided that I would just rather have a new 2009 LS3 coupe than buy a used Z09 off of someone. Just never know what you are getting no matter how well it appears to be taken care of.
Plus with 436 HP(I got the dual mode exhaust) it is pretty much as quick as a C5 Z06 and it is new.
So that is it. I finally have me a new Vette. I decided on the Velocity Yellow with the LT2 trim, Z51 package, and the Dual Mode exhaust. Oh yeah,, 6 speed too.
