Stumbled upon this forum and it looks to be a popular hang out to the people who share my affliction: vettes.
Background: "First" car of my life is the '62 I am now restoring, which my dad gave to me pretty much out of the womb. It has been neglected throughout the years, but it will soon be back to its past glory. I had a C-5 (at 16 no lie, and not a single accident or ticket at all)that I traded about 2 years ago (well, I didn't WANT to trade it, my wife won't drive "cars" only SUVs
), and I miss driving that thing something fierce.
I am just beginning to start to try and do some of the small restoration work myself, but I will have to find a good shop to do some body work, paint, and engine work as it has set dormant for a LONG time. If anyone knows of people/shops in the Charlotte, NC area that do good work but aren't trying to gouge me too bad, LMK.
Time to look around!
