This is my first forum and my first post, so this should be interesting. I've owned 3 corvettes, the first a '66 blue coupe I restored in '70. It was stolen in Houston same year and I waited til 07 to buy another. A 2000 red convertible... and then last week a 2005 red convertible. So hopefully I can learn more from other members...thanks Charles
I have always hidden a key somewhere on all my cars. On my 2000 vette, no problem. But my 2005 has a pushbutton start tied to a keypad. I can hide a key and get in if locked out, but car won't start without keypad and hiding it on board keeps doors unlocked. I tried wrapping the pad in a couple of layers of foil and it seems to kill the signal to allow doors to lock, but it seems kinda crude way to solve this. Any ideas on a better way?
Thanks, Charles
My '05 gets very hot between the seats and console and inside the console. I think probably from the exhaust being only a few inches from the tunnel walls as it goes by the seats and console. Is this a problem for anyone else and what is the suggested fix?
