hello folks...

You know, stuff like tons of car events, the Pontiac Nationals, F body gatherings in Atlanta, my cars did real well in those shows...yadda yadda... Had a 1997 Comp T/A, build no. 139 of total build out 164 and founded the Comp T/A Owners Association with Mike Alford...We also had the last LT1 Firehawk made, #132, a 1997 car as well, it now resides in Tx in a barn covered up.
Got out of events and shows due to my wolfdog rescue work (link in my sig. and my wife did too, due to her golden retriever rescue work...) by 2005, there were no performance cars left in our garage, just two suv's... a first for me, of Ive had nothing but performance cars since 1967 when i bought my first, a 67 Camaro with a 327 in it. We had a 78 Vette as well... along with all the trans ams over the years... the only "outsider" was my 68 SS 396 Chevelle....boy I wish I had hung on to that!
Been in the auto industry all my life, started with GM, then private dealership, then the U.S. Govt.... got 33 years as a Fed in now. I'm a tire engineer by trade and ran the Federal Tire Qualification program for 13 years till moving on into something else..still tire related...
Anywho... couldnt live without a perf car... so I went back to chief Poncho...and bought an 05 GTO with the sports appearance packaqe... put 10 miles on it in a year and 7 months... it just never did it for me... so then... i tried a first... my first 4 cyl turbo convertable.. a 2008 Pontiac Solstice GXP.......well.......it was a hoot....little road dart... but after 1 year...the "hoot" was gone... i just missed my v8...
so we took the plunge, since, of all the vettes to come out over the last few years, I feel in love with the C6....
hobbies? im a gym rat. retiring from the Govt in the next couple of years to be a personal trainer...and for fun, playing "hulk hogan look alike...LOL...... and......I am a fanatic on car detailing.... in fact... some folks think im way overboard on it..

and of course, my wolfdog rescue keeps me quite busy on the side..
anyhow... glad to be here, and look forward to sharing topics and good times with all!
