C6 on order....
Hi Everyone,
I've been sort of a lurker around here for more than a year, and I figured I'd go ahead and say hello. I've gained a ton of knowledge just by reading the discussions. I can't believe how much info is available on this site... I just ordered an '09 coupe.
This will be my second Corvette. Years ago I had a '62. It was a former race car, and I managed to put it all back into street trim, with most of the race capabilities intact. The 327 was built very well, as was the transmission and rear end, but the street tires just couldn't hook up. Still, it was a blast to drive.
It was alot of fun, and it left me with a real affection for Vettes -- all kinds and all years.
Anyway, I've been told my new one will be built during the week of the 27th, so I'm counting the days.
