Formal Introduction - Including some Nice Pics
Here is the scoop. . . and history. Five years ago I won an IBM sales contest and the award was a weekend at Bragg-Smith Corvette Driving School in NV (now Spring Mountain). After that I was sold and I REALLY wanted a Corvette of my own. So as a compromise about a year or so later I bought a 2001 Camaro SS Convertible. Logic. . .4 seats so the kids can come along, automatic so the wife could drive it, convertible so we could go "topless". Less than a year later I sold it because the kids got bored, bitched about the wind and I had pre-cancerous spots removed from my face and arm. Then I bought a Dodge Charger SRT-8. Awesome car and room for 4, but still an automatic. Autocrossed it and was very disappointed with the overall performance, it was just not the same. So the search began for a buyer for the Charger, and the perfect Vette for me.
Found the perfect Vette: 2005 Magnetic Red, black interior, Z51, Glass Roof and only 8000 miles. . . oh and NEVER driven in the rain. Amy (wife) and I flew to KY and drove it home. I autocrossed it last weekend and just had an awesome time. There really is no substitute for a Corvette. Leson learned!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
The trip/award was for selling the most Tivoli Software by a BP. I had sales of over $300k in one month which got me qualified for the trip. Not sure they do anything that excessive anymore.

Congratulations & Welcome to the Corvette Forum!!
