which corvette should be my first?
It would be my daily driver and my only car. I would like to try some autocross too. I have only driven a 03 z06 and I loved it. I am tired of my rattling 2000 trans am. I'm hoping that these don't have the same rattling issues? I could afford a c6 now that they have dropped. It doesn't seem like there are many z51's for sale. I could probably just get a regular one and upgrade if needed?

I suggest that you drive both the C5 and the C6 within a short time frame. That way you will be able to remember the attributes of each more clearly. Good luck.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I was hoping you guys would say one is a lot better than the other. I'm tempted to just get a c5 for cheap, but then z06's aren't much more, then c6's aren't much more than z06's. I'm also tempted to wait and see what happens next year with the economy and the used auto market.
