New Corvette driver on the board
First, congrats for this forum.
My name's Nick, I'm 22, I live in France and I'm the proud owner of a gorgeous '77 Corvette that I bought in Canada last year.
I bought my 'vette in Montreal, QC, when I was still living there in 2007. For some reasons, I had to come back in France, and my car stayed in Canada. Fortunately, a friend can take care of it. I should be able to ship it back to me before spring '09.
I'm the third owner of this 'vette. 10 years ago, the first owner painted it with that funny green/blue/idunnowhat color, which looks not bad at all finally. I was thinking about painting it with that orange that I saw on the '77 Corvette brochure, but I still have to think about it.
When I checked the VIN, the engine was supposed to be a L-48, but a guy told me that the V8 looked more like a L-82. BTW if someone can tell me how to be sure about it, that would be great

The previous owner installed a sound system on the car, but the large speaker took too much place behind the seats, so I removed them. And to be honnest, the exhaust is so loud that music is useless in my car

Basically, I cannot drive without music, so i'll have to fix that problem.
Otherwise, the car is 100% rust-free, drives really good, without major problems. I'll have to change the speedometer and check the heater, because it makes hot air all the time.
Well, I think that's all
