What are you looking for? Power and Performance, Detailing, etc? Each section you can easily tell who knows their game and who is just blowing smoke. and welcome to the forums.

I'll be looking for power.
when the time comes I'll be looking for a black vette and probably just going with black wheels w/ a red stripe (i'm addicted to the 360 forged wheels). The rest of the car will back up the clean look with whatever is under the hood.

I'm thinking forced induction. I have a supercharger now and was leaning toward turbo -- I love the sound and never had a turbo before. I'd like to be in the 800hp range. Less would be enough to get into the 10's, but 800's are bragging rights. Also, anything more would be a traction nightmare...lol. I figure 800's are just about right.

As stated before, though. i have no illusions that I have only a mild idea of what it's going to take to get there. (leaning toward a c6, i love the body style. No offense to the c5 guys or earlier -- i have not seen a vette yet I didn't think was sexy.)

Agreed. They'll never have the potential a vette or any RWD set-up would have, but I was a 20 year old wanna-be speed racer when I bought it and it served its purpose. There's a guy on CSS.net that did a turbo swap and has been supporting over 400hp on stock internals for quite a while now -- no issues yet. Gotta hand it to GM, they may not make quality cars, their interiors may be made of plastic -- but their engines are amazing and since I'm performance-minded I couldn't see myself buying anything else.

Honda= longevity
GM= power
