Hi, I'm new to the site and just got my corvette last night, March 27 2009. I found the car online on craigslist.org a couple of weeks back and when I finally got the money to buy the car last week I contacted the person and went and looked at the car and picked it up last night. This is my dream car, I've always wanted a corvette since I was a little kid and now I finally got one. The problem is that the car hasn't been registered in about 10+ years and $650 are due for the registration in California, but I'm going to put it as non-op since the car is missing the front and rear bumpers. The best thing about it is that it has 71,XXX miles and so far the numbers on the engine matches the # on the car, the only thing left is that I have to check the tranny, which is a 4 speed manual, wow. The car running and everything, but I was pressing and turning some **** that are at the bottom of the steering column and now it wont turn on, can anybody help me? I need to change the brake booster and master cylinder and get the rotors turned also. I hope to have it up and running by the summer. I will post pics up later.
