With my 1989 I will be going down the highway & the engine will just suddenly stop running. After getting of the road & waiting a few minutes the engine can be restarted. This has happened numerous times & there is a time duration of 2-3 weeks or as long as 4 months before there is a reoccurence.
This vehicle is not a daily driver. It is used for fun excursions & other point to point travels. I assume if I used the vehicle more frequently the problem would also be increased by the amount of usage.
I've checked the MAF unit & other components & all appear to be OK.
Fuel isn't the problem & all electrical items appear to be OK. It's been suggested that the MAF relays could be a potential problem. Can anyone confirm this suggestion?
Has anyone had any experience of this kind & may have a different resolve?
Any assistance would be appreciated................TomT328
