As you can tell (by the handle) I already have a GTO. This is a project car (which will take me a while to finish as I am building it myself)
I have really been craving a 'fun car' I can just drive and enjoy, and while I am not a Vette guy (by tradition) I have always very much admired the style and capabilities of the C6.
Recently looked at a 2009, but the wife nixed that. I am considering trying to pick up a C6 that is a few years old (an 06 or 07) as these seem to be about half the cost of a new one (even with the great deals).
A C6 in yellow (millenium or victory yellow) is my favourite colour (as it reminds me of the C6R). I am located in Canada, but good cars (used) seem to be a little harder to locate. Would Kerbeck be a good option for importing? I wonder if they can do the necessary conversion (I would prefer guages that read off in km/h).
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!! Best of luck finding that YELLOW C6!! Enjoy the Forums.
As to your question, I am not an expert so don't take this as gospel but....we have seen this issue with Canadian members many times here. Our GM dealers in the US CANNOT sell and/or export cars to Canada. It is a legal thing between GM and the Canadian and US govt's. You have to buy from a dealer/importer in Canada or buy from a private party or used car dealer in the US and bring the car into Canada yourself and take it to a certified converter, at significant expense as I recall. I hope you can work something out as the C6's are great cars.
