Proper Introduction
Hey, everyone.
I've been posting here for a few days but haven't really introduced myself to everyone. I'm Matt. I just purchased my first C5. I learned to drive on my dad's 85 Z51 Vette which was a blast. I've always loved sports cars and the Corvette was one of my favorites.
My first fast car was a 97 Firebird Formula, followed by a 2002 Trans Am WS6. My T/A was stolen last year and as a temporary solution I was driving around a '90 Nissan 300zx. It's actually a fun little car but it's slow as hell. So this week I bought a 2002 Z06. I took it out for the first time tonight to have some fun. It's been a while since I've driven a fast car, so this was something special.
Details about my Vette
It's Electron Blue. It came with HRE 540R wheels which look really nice. It also came with a Vortex Rammer and a VERY stiff short throw.
There's a wing on the back that I'm not a fan of, so I'll be taking it off and likely putting on the ACI spoiler. There's also a smooth bellow intake tube. I'm not sure if that helps performance at all, but it doesn't look bad.
The car has 28K miles on it and was pretty much a Sunday car for the owners. They only took it out for dinner on Sunday. LOL Before the owner's husband died, he was a mechanic and took very good care of the car. The owner wanted it to go to someone who'd take good care of it now. I made my promise!
