Newbee needs help
Hello! I'm new here. Have been a car guy since 1949 but haven't spent much time zeroed-in on Corvettes. I know, I know BIG MISTAKE!
In any event, could use a bit of help with a current project that concerns a 1959 Corvette. This may involve an urban legend of sorts, but here goes. Was there any kind of option, factory or otherwise, that involved the installation of chrome front suspension pieces? I'm under this vehicle when lo' and behold - CHROME A-arms & sway bar! My client is a Corvette hobbyist who bought his car from a CA Vette dealer; he says the dealer told him chrome suspension bits were an option in '59. Otherwise she's a very nice F.I. Powerglide car, righteous in every way.
