Greetings.
Though a newbie to the Corvette world, I'm not a rookie.
After a variety of hotrods and street cars ('51 Ford 2 door coupe, '46 Ford Business Coupe with 500ci Caddy power, T-Bucket, '68 Buick Lesabre, etc) I'm looking to surprise my wife with a unique graduation present. She's been helping me with all my projects for over 25 years and in honor of her completing PA school (at the University of Florida) I intend to drop some keys in her hand. Guys and gals, I'm looking for your help. I need to be DONE in 18 months (graduation date is June, 2011). Between now and then, I have to find a way to squirrel away cash to buy the car, cash to fix the car, and time away from home to do the work.
Be patient with me as I try to quickly learn the unique things about Corvette's, encourage me as I patiently search for parts and rejoice with me when I surprise her.
Here's my starting point. (Thanks Steve (halfmoontrail) for getting me off the ground)
Welcome to the Forum David and what a great gift for your wife. I hope the next 18 months goes well for her school and your project, good luck to the both of you.
