air check valve
Well after reading all the good stuff in these forums i decided to join. I have a 84 corvette that my wife purchased from a lady she worked with. I was told by my wife it was in pretty good shape, until she purchased it and tried to drive it home. It over heated and cracked the heads. Well i purchased used heads and had a vlave job done . The car finally passed smog so i put it on the road.it did fine until i put it on the freeway got up to about 60mph and start hearing an exhaust leak. Well after looking under the hood i noticed the hoses that attach the air check valve to the tube that goes to the smog pum had burnt completley off on both sides. am i going in the right direction with the AIR CHECK VALVES????
