I am in the process of selling my Supercharged 2000 Mustang GT (~400whp) and have been missing my old Modified 1976 Corvette Stingray w/ buillt L82 4bolt and 4 speed.
I want to get a C5, but don't know what years to avoid or what years would be best as far as horsepower, options, etc. I know this question is probably asked frequently, so please be patient with me.
Martin
The standard answer to your question is buy the newest lowest mileage C5 you can afford, I wanted a 03 50th but ended up with a 98 and had more money left over for mods and believe me you will get the mod bug

LOL, I hope the mod bug avoids me... I doubled the cost of the 2000 GT or higher in the end. But the Stang still was never as good a handler as the Vette.

wow, if you doubled the cost of your Stang, i would say you will probably have a mod bug on the Vette. I have a 99 Mustang GT that is completely stock, so i feel safe that i will keep the 09 corvette stock. we'll see, ha. good luck with your search!
