First wave to All!
Greetings One and All!
I decided it's time to actually join this fine forum since I plan to buy a C6 corvette in the next six months or so. I'm new to you but like many new members, I've been reading this forum for a long time before joining. How long is that? Well, believe it or not, almost as long as this forum has been around.
Before the C5 came out I was not a big fan of vettes. I loved the styling but there was too much shake and rattle with the roll. In my younger days, ( I'm pushing the big 6-OH now), I had a 67' 383 GTS Dart and then a 68' Formula “S” Barracuda.
Then I grew up... had kids... built a house... raised a family... put the kids through college ( ouch! )... and now I'm nearing retirement... and it all seems like it went by that fast. Along the way I drove sedans, station wagons, a Van, a pickup, and one fun car, a 91' Dodge Stealth I bought in 97 and still have but it's reduced to a work-beater now.
When I get my vette it will mostly be a cruiser with a little 'spirited driving' when conditions permit. I'll probably join a local club and hope to do some major cruise-ins like Bloomington Gold and Bowling Green. And, I'll be smiling and giving a wave!
