I'm a long-time car-crafter that fixes turbine engines in the ARMY for a living. I have had the pleasure of owning a mildly modified '80 stingray in the past, and had to sell it when I was fixing my finances 4 years ago. My money woes are over, and I'm looking to start another C-3 project and finish it this time round. My online searches for ideas have lead me to this forum more than once, and I look forward contributing to this community.
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!!!! Best of luck finding the right C3 and getting it all fixed up, stock I hope but that's just me. Enjoy all that these Forums offer.
This car was a crash victim brought back to life. I did the mechanicals and a buddy did the fiber glass and paint. Old engine was on it's last leg, so I got a GMPP 350 rated for 375 hp. Replaced the TH-350 with a 700-R4 I rebuilt myself. Got the A/C working again, but was still workin' on the interior and electrical gremlins when I sold it. My buddy painted it Candy Apple Red when he had it at his shop, the thing used to be an ugly shade of orange. I drove it daily when I had it, and the soldier I sold it do intended to do the same. Haven't seen it in a while, it could be anywhere by now.
