hello, thourght I'd joint this great club, with all the questions and answer on our love for corvette's. We started in 1974 with a 60 corvette, junk, which my brother and father all worked on to get it right, mostley to have fun, wrong parts, brand new 350, 56 hard top, custom front end, and a beautiful interior, so my dad cut off the custom front end and made the forms for the front end hand laid the fiberglass, 22 coats of paint had to be removed, 3yrs off work, not perfect, but my mother and father had 6yrs of fun with the 60's. I bought a brand new 1979, green on green L-82, which was nice but junk for the day and got out out the corvette's for a long time, I was driving for Greyhound Bus lines and was never home, So in 2002 we bought a 2001 BMW Z-3 sky blue and tan for my wife's 50'th birthday.She would not drive it, stick shift, I'd said I am getting old, and I want a vet. The C-6 just came out in 05, could not afford one, I drove a concrete mixer truck, now, no money, poor! We went to Purifoy Chevy in FT. Lupton, Co, and was looking in his corvette barn, at the C-6's and had sticker shock, then asked Steve, our saleman if he had anything for poor working people. They had a 97 torch red, carbon fiber hood, Z-06 wheels, corsia EX, with only 8000 miles on it, take a BMW on trade! sure enought, we left with the c-5, what a ball we had ever since, they had a christmas with our club and steve brought a flyer on the corvette's they had on sale, their was the 2009 ,3-LT Z-51, White with red & black int, with such a great price, had to buy it, the red only had 24000 miles but it was a 97!, Love the White one, dave
