Contemplating a C5
I'm giving serious thought to joining the Corvette family and am thinking of buying an earlier C5. My wife is fully supportive and excited about this idea and with our kids getting older, we're hoping to be able to find some time to get out and enjoy it. Having one in college and 3 still at home are major reasons why we're looking to keep this new hobby in the range of the low 20K's....
As I said, this will be a new endeavor for us so I am interested in any advice or hints from this forum as we look further into purchasing our first Corvette. Coupe vs convertible, various options, things to watch out for, etc--all will be sincerely appreciated.

If a C5 is your choice just spend time in the C5 General Forum. Just by reading what has been/is being talked about will give you a lot of good information. Then when you have specific questions, just ask them there. The members who own them will give you the best advice and opinions. Good luck with your research and decision. Hope you enjoy it.

Welcome and I love my C5!!!
If you hang out on the C5 forum don't be scared off by all of the problems reported. Most of them are minor and happen to only a very low percentage of those in circulation.
