Default Hello

I'm Kayla. Just got a 2005 Machine Silver with black convert top. Always wanted a Vette.
I have a question. Is it against the law in Texas for Children to ride in a two seater? I have a 5 year old son and was told that he couldn't ride in the car.

Welcome aboard and congrats on your Corvette. I can't answer your question but, you might want to post it in the regional section for Texas where I'm confident someone will help you out.

Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations on your C6!! Enjoy the car and the Forums.

As mentioned, ask your Texas specific question on the Southwest Regional Forum:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/southwest-44/

Or, you could ask in C6 General. We have plenty of Texas members in there.

Welcome to the forum! Not sure about Texas - in NJ, the child has to either 8 years old or 80 lbs to ride without a car seat or booster and they don't recommend the front seat on newer cars due to the air bags. Some Texas owners will know for sure - like the others have replied.

Welcome to the forum.
I've got no help on your question, but you've been pointed in the right direction for an answer.

Thanks for the welcome and info. I am able to turn off passenger airbag with a key, so that helps.
