New member here, looking for information on C3 Corvettes as I recently inherited a 1980 parts/project car that I'm looking at either scrapping or fixing depending on how costly it becomes.
Hoping to find folks that can direct me the right way for parts diagrams, assembly diagrams, wiring, etc.
When you get a car that's in pieces with many missing, it's hard to put everything together - especially when your not a corvette guy.
I'm a Pontiac / GMC guy and enjoy hot rodding and building sleeper cars/trucks. Currently in the works is my GMC Sierra getting a nicely massaged LQ9, and now...possibly starting to slowly work on this vette to get it road worthy. If you see me driving the Trans Am, It is a very rare event.
As for the Vette, I'm beginning my research, and plan to tow the car to a frame shop and body shop to see how extensive the damage to the front clip is, and to see if the frame is bent. There is a specialty corvette shop local to me that will be looking it over.
If all goes well, the plan would be doing a LS drop in with parts I already have.
That's it so far.

welcome!! Pontiac fan here too. actually sold my 1997 Ram Air TA WS6 convertible to get my 2002 Vette coupe. If my wife would have let me have 2 "paperweights", i would have. enjoy the Vette!
