2005 Corvette Power Top Issue

2005 Corvette Power Top Issue
My 05 Corvette Power Top will go up 1/2 of the way, then stop. The cover "WILL NOT" unlatch to let the top continue to go down. After a while, the top will finally release the pressure & come back down.
Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what might be wrong?
PS This happened once before , but started working again after a few attempts.
